Trade shows and Exhibitions… lets be ahead of the game!

Trade shows can come in all different shapes and sizes, most are target market specific and tailored for a particular topic or following – but all are information opportunities for your prospective clients.

The execution of your booth at a trade show is imperative to stop traffic and encourage them to explore your product.

Planning is KEY! Start no later than 3 months out.

-          Accommodation: Check out your options and availability early. If you're attending a large expo, hotel rooms may be reserved for travelers early

-          Relevance: Make sure you are attending a trade show that is relevant to your product and clientele

-          Message: Clear and concise! Are you launching a new product? Do you have big news to share?

-          Collateral: Get your product out there with anything from brochures and business cards to notepads and pens. Why not include wedding kits, conference and event kits or even branded giveaways?

-          Network: Get the word out early that you're going to be in town!  Let your existing, past and potential clients, this builds and maintains relationships AND it’s a great way to talk about previous quotes, upcoming business and potential opportunities

-          Research: The attendee list – should there be an invitation-only guest list to the Expo, some organisers send the exhibitors an attendee list prior to the event. This is pure GOLD!

-          Branding: What is the look and feel of your booth? Think about what is going to draw customers in: media walls, logos, interactive items such as games or a competition. Do you need power to your booth for lighting and TV's or perhaps furniture? A stylist might be sponsoring the event – maybe reach out to them to see if they're able to assist you with your booth style and theme.

Happy Planning!
